CO Radio Host Compares Michelle Obama To Chewbacca

A conservative radio host in Colorado told a story on air about how someone made a comment about Chewbacca, and everyone in the room knew the reference was to Michelle Obama. “Everyone drew the conclusion. And I’ve tested it — I’ve done group testing and I’ve said if I say Chewbacca what do you think?”

Jimmy Lakey of 740 KVOR in Colorado Springs recently related a story where he was at a “cigar establishment,” and “someone used the phrase Chewbacca and everyone knew, or assumed who this person was talking about.” Chewbacca, of course, is the famous Wookiee from the “Star Wars” franchise.

Reminds me of the story about Bill O'Reilly and his first meeting with Michelle. He was apparently so smitten with her after he met her, he could not contain his compliments about her at fox. So he was told to zip it.

I really don't get the logic of the "racist cracker" contingent trying to be derogatory by calling Michelle Obama "Chewbacca". If anything, as a geek, it's sort of a compliment if you really think about it, in a strange sort of way, if it wasn't the dog whistlers saying it.

Chewbacca is Han Solo's first mate, his right hand. He's good in a fight, doesn't back down, and is fiercely loyal. I see much the same relationship between Michelle and the President, but the dog whistlers are too stupid to see it that way.

I seem to recall the Chewbacca comparison as something the turns up amongst the various hateful/racist comments on threads on FOX Nation--and has been around for awhile, but can't verify it off-hand. Anyone else have a similar recollection?

Not just Fox Nation. I've seen it on RedState, Hot Air, Town Hall, even NRO.

That and "Mooshelle."

It's truly amazing how the lid on overt racism has been blown off the pot.
